The Haval range is among the largest selling SUVs worldwide, and with the latest H9 models, Haval is now offering a full-sized 7-seater SUV packed with the latest safety features and technology to create an excellent driving experience on and off the beaten track.
After the compact H2 and the mid-sized H6, the H9 is the third Haval model to be launched in New Zealand and the company’s premium flagship. After 3 years on the Australian market, Haval once again went back to the drawing board and implemented a range of updates before sending the H9 ashore here, making it one of the most-refined SUV’s in Australasia.
The turbocharged 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine produces 180kw of power and 350Nm of torque. Underneath the bonnet is one of the best transmissions available in the automobile industry in form of a smooth 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. Paired with Haval’s All-Terrain Control System, the H9 Ultra Automatic 4WD promises unforgettable off-road adventures. And with a 2.5-tonne braked towing capacity, you will have no issues taking your boat or caravan along for the trip.
The H9 is currently available as an entry-level Lux version and its big brother Ultra. Both versions are equipped with an extensive set of features including a large 8-inch touch screen for controls such as climate and Audio, a new digital instrument panel and speedo, a sunroof to enjoy those views while cruising through the country, anti-glare mirrors, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert and a lane departure warning system. Changeable mood lighting and tri-zone auto air conditioning also compliment the interior. Xenon headlamps and daytime running lights are also standard on all H9 models.
For those that are looking for a premium quality SUV, the Haval H9 is the perfect choice. Devised by a former BWM designer, you get a great vehicle with European qualities for the fraction of its Japanese and Korean competitors. It’s by far the most affordable full-sized SUV currently available in New Zealand.
